Sharon Update - Ehud Olmert Made Acting PM
Our thoughts and prayers are with Ariel Sharon, his family, and all Israelis.
Debka reports that the situation is dire. Ehud Olmert was made Acting Prime Minister just after Sharon was admitted to the hospital. The rabbis and religious parties have asked all Jews to pray for Mr. Sharon. Though we don’t always agree with his decisions, we hope that he makes a speedy recovery. Speculation has already begun about the power vaccum that would be left in Sharon’s new Kadima party. We’ll continue to cover this story of course, and there will be plenty of time to dissect the effects of this event later on.
